In this one hour webinar John Carroll from Aon will provide some insights into the Reinsurance sector. John is Head of Broking for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions unit in the Pacific and has a focus on the provision of technical services to Aon’s Pacific clients encompassing reinsurance advice and analysis, negotiation and placement, and reinsurance market carrier management. Aon’s client base covers the full gamut of the industry and consequently John is regularly called on for reinsurance strategy and optimisation dialogue with Global Insurance Groups, locally-listed Insurers, local and niche nationwide Insurers as well as a range of Government entities.
John has been with Aon since September, 2011 – previously he had been Head of Broking at Guy Carpenter Australia for 5 years where he was responsible for all aspects of GC’s treaty broking operations.
John has over 30 years’ experience within the reinsurance industry and spent the first 16 years of his career with Swiss Re with his last role being Head of Client Management for Swiss Re’s Australian and New Zealand operations – a role that also included reporting line responsibility for that company’s Facultative Underwriting and Claims Management functions.
John has a Bachelor of Science (Mathematics & Statistics) from the University of Melbourne and is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance & Finance (ANZIIF) – having completed both the General Insurance and Life Insurance streams.
