Last year the FSAA hosted a webinar on taxation basics for insurance. Due to very high demand for this session we are pleased to be able to offer it again in 2021.
The application of taxation law within an insurance environment comes with a unique set of challenges. This session will provide a high-level overview of the various taxes applicable to the general insurance industry including current ATO activity, the role of the finance function and some helpful tips and tricks.
The session is once again facilitated by two industry experts in this field. Corinne Glanville Senior Manager from QBE will introduce the concepts applicable to insurers in the area of indirect taxation and Michael Garrod also a Senior Manager from QBE will explore the application of direct taxation.
We continually receive feedback that finance teams are keen to develop their understanding of the tax environment and particularly which aspects might influence their own roles. This session provides the basic understanding of the taxes applicable in this area.
For further information in the latest developments in taxation we also encourage you to join us for the upcoming FSAA Tax Day scheduled to be held on 25 August 2021.
