Athol Kemp is Staff Vice-President and Head of Finance – Asia-Pacific Region at FM Global, one of the world’s largest commercial property insurers. Based in Melbourne, Athol leads the Company’s regional finance functions located in Melbourne and Singapore.
Athol has been with FM Global for 10 years and is responsible for financial and tax reporting as well as financial services such as banking, accounts payable/receivable and collections. In his role, Athol has overseen the implementation of new local and IFRS accounting standards across the region.
Prior to that, over a period of 15 years, he held various finance positions with local Australian insurers in management accounting, corporate planning and internal audit, as well as in external audit with the Victorian Auditor General’s Office.
He is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
