Manager - IFRS 17
Owen is a manager in Deloitte’s actuarial practice in Sydney specialising in IFRS 17. He actively participates in various industry forums, modelling the IFRS 17 mechanics and using these results to discuss IFRS 17 interpretation issues. Prior to his role at Deloitte, Owen worked at QBE and Westpac where he was also heavily involved with IFRS 17, where one of his specific interests was to assess whether groups of contracts that have contract boundaries of greater than 12 months can still be measured under the Premium Allocation Approach (PAA).
