IFRS 17 Implementation Manager, Swiss Re
Leong is a Fellow, Faculty of Actuaries (FFA) and has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. His career has spanned across direct insurance (Standard Life, UK), financial audit and consulting (EY, Beijing) and reinsurance (Swiss Re, Australia), working in projects in the UK, Australia, China, South Korea, Taiwan and Malaysia. He is currently the IFRS 17 Implementation Manager for Swiss Re, working as part of Swiss Re's global IFRS 17 project team, with a focus on the implementation for the Asia wide entities.
Leong is active in various IFRS 17 industry working groups and is a member of the Australia Accounting Standard Board (AASB) TRG, Actuaries Institute AASB 17 - Reinsurance and Regulatory Reporting Technical Subgroup, the UK Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) IFRS 17 CSM working party and Life Asia Sub-committee.
