A World In Transition

There are now more countries undergoing some kind of economic or financial transition than ever before – Australia from mining to non-mining lead growth; China from producer to consumer; the US from unconventional to conventional monetary policy; Japan from deflation to inflation; Europe from crisis to stability. Financial market focus and attention will shift from to the other of these transitions at different points in time creating volatility at every turn. Investors and market participants need to remain vigilant to this highly uncertain climate.

The next quarterly lunch will be held on Friday, 17th October.  In this session Tracey McNaughton, Head of Investment Strategy, Executive Director, UBS will be providing members with this economic update.

Tracey McNaughton was appointed Head of Investment Strategy in Australia & New Zealand in October 2013. In this role she has responsibility for Australian economic and investment research and is a member of the Australian Investment Committee.

Tracey was previously Senior Investment Specialist at Colonial First State Global Asset Management, and prior to that worked in the UK for Baillie Gifford as a fixed income portfolio manager.

Tracey brings extensive experience as an economist having worked as a Senior Economist at BT Financial Group in Australia.
