The FSAA is pleased to let our members know that Angus Thomson will present on the upcoming post-implementation review of the implementation of IFRS 17 and AASB 17 – Insurance contracts. Angus will also touch on AASB 18 and AASB S2.

Angus has been involved with the Australian Accounting Standards Board for many years and has been a great contributor of the FSAA. We thank both Angus and the AASB for their ongoing support of the FSAA. 

About our Presenter

Angus Thomson is a Technical Principal at the AASB dealing a with a range of financial and sustainability reporting issues. He has held previous roles with the International Accounting Standards Board, the ASX and two of the Big 4 firms. His main financial reporting focus has been in the finance sector, including insurance, across both the private and public sectors.
