Kaise is a Director   in Deloitte’s Actuaries & Consultants practice and has extensive GI experience in the Australian,   New Zealand and European markets.  His experience includes leading   M&A GI streams for valuation and due diligence, being responsible for   Board and Management advice on insurance reserving recommendations and   pricing on large and complex deals for insurance and reinsurance   businesses.  Kaise serves in a number of Appointed Actuary roles.    Prior to joining Deloitte, Kaise worked at Munich Re where he served as   Appointed Actuary for four insurance entities. 

                     


How are general insurers putting the final LAGIC “puzzle pieces” in place?  This presentation will explore the natural perils horizontal requirement (NPHR) under the ICRC, its place in the wider LAGIC framework and how general insurers are preparing for this requirement ahead of it coming into effect as at 1 January 2014.  The presentation will also explore the industry’s current practices in dealing with the other accumulations vertical requirement (OAVR) under ICRC, this topic will be discussed with the backdrop of the recently released Actuaries Institute information note providing guidance on the OAVR with a scenario‑based approach.  Lastly, the presentation will explore the ICAAP report and the ICAAP independent review process and what companies should be considering in drafting their report and in deciding on the independent review process.
