
Presenting Introduction and Purpose of Course, Module 5 - Management Reporting, and Module 6 - Regulation - Stephen is currently working with IAG. He is a chartered accountant and has been working in the Insurance industry for over 12 years (with 15 years in total in accounting and audit). He has spent the majority of his career in professional services providing assurance and advisory services to various parts of the insurance sector, including; general insurers, life insurers, brokers, and other intermediaries. He recently spent five years as a Director at Deloitte in Sydney, with the six years prior to this also in insurance external audit in the Netherlands and Bermuda. Stephen is a member and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Presenting Module 2, Insurance Terminology & Module 3, The Insurance Cycle - Victor Walter is a qualified CA with over 30 years' experience. He is the recently retired Deputy CEO Corporate Services and CFO at National Disability Insurance Agency. Previously he was in the role of Group Deputy Chief Financial Officer of QBE Insurance Group Limited. He served as Chief Finance Officer for QBE Australia New Zealand from 2001 until he moved into his new role. Victor has been a member of the FSAA since 2001 and became President in 2009. He once again serves as Present and Secretary. Outside of his Insurance life Victor’s passion is Rowing where he is on the Board of NSW Rowing.

Presenting Module 4: Accounting Standards Framework and Accounting Standard 17 - Insurance Contracts Manpreet is currently working with Deloitte as Manager in the Insurance Finance Solutions & IFRS 17 team in Sydney. Manpreet is a chartered accountant and brings over ten years of experience working with insurance companies. She has supported a number of insurers in the transition to IFRS 17, the new insurance accounting standard including training, general ledger updates, data gap analysis, development of proforma financial and management reports and cash flow statements. Prior to working with Deloitte, Manpreet held various Finance roles within the insurance industry including Finance Manager, Senior Accountant, Accountant, and Accounts payable officer.

Presenting Module 4: Accounting Standards Framework and Accounting Standard 17 - Insurance Contracts Dong-Kwang (DK) is a Senior Manager in the Deloitte Actuaries team, with 10 years of experience specialising in insurance reporting under AASB17 and regulatory/economic capital, and in particular on IFRS17 methodology development and system implementations for actuarial and financial processes. DK was a contributor to Deloitte IFRS17 Accounting Expert Advisory Panel (EAP) for Australia and New Zealand regarding broad IFRS17 application and implementation issues, and also serves as a member of IFRS17 Life Centre of Excellence within the Deloitte Actuaries team. He has extensive experience with sub-ledger systems implementation for IFRS17, particularly with Aptitude.
