Jann Chairs the Board of Hunter United Employees Credit Union Ltd, and is a Director of ArchLMI Pty Ltd, and StateCover Mutual Ltd. She is a member of the University of Newcastle Council and of the Council of Sancta Sophia College and serves on committees within the health sector. In addition, she has previously served on Boards in the NSW state government, medical research and professional services sectors. Previously, she spent 27 years as a lawyer in private practice, in Newcastle, Sydney and the Hunter Valley, including 9 years as managing partner of Sparke Helmore’s Newcastle office, where she oversaw 160 staff. She also served on the Board of Sparke Helmore. Jann has an Arts/Law degree from Sydney University and an MBA from Newcastle University. She has specialist accreditation from the Law Society of NSW and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
